- All documents must be uploaded where asked to do so in the time of application.
- The admission will be considered a provisional one and will be cancelled if any discrepancyfound later in due course.
- Students, whose names appear in the merit list, will deposit requisite fees online for taking admission, failing which their position in the particular merit list will be cancelled.
- After making the online payment, the students are to report to the college on the commencement of classes. Physical Verification, if done, will be done as per the Govt. order.Admitted students should report with all Challans (Online), Payment Receipts, and Original Testimonials & Photocopies (M.P Admit-Marksheet, H.S Marksheet, H.S School Leaving Certificate, Caste Certificate, 4 copies of Passport size recent colour photo) on the dates which will be notified through college website in due course.
- Subject/Subjects once chosen will not be changed after declaration of Merit List.
- Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- Candidature of the student will be rejected in case of any discrepancy. Decision of the college authority will be final in this regard.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria
For Programme or Pass Course: Passed in H.S. / Equivalent Examination. Students passing out of Vocational stream are eligible only for Programme Course. Students opting for B.Sc. programme must have studied Mathematics in HS or equivalent.Reservation as per Govt. norms.
For Honours Course- At least 45% marks in aggregate in H.S. / Equivalent Examination. Students passing out of Vocational stream are not eligible for Honours Course. Reservation as per State Govt. norms.
Session Gap: The session gap should not be more than three years i.e., only the students passing HS or equivalent examination in the year 2020, 2021 and 2022 will be considered eligible for admission in both Honours & Programme Courses.
Criteria for calculating Merit List
- For Hons. Course - Total marks obtained in best of five subjects in H.S or equivalent examination.
- For Programme Course - Total marks obtained in best of five subjects in H.S or equivalent examination. Students opting for Mathematics should have studied the subject in H.S or equivalent.
Important Information
- In case of equal marks in H.S. results, total marks / percentage of marks of immediately preceding
examination is to be taken into account for ranking.
- Best five (5) of the H.S. Subjects must be adopted for calculating the total marks and percentage.
- In case wherever only Four (4) subject are offered by any recognized Board/Council etc, as the case
may be in H.S or equivalent examination, first Language will be doubled to prepare the merit list on
the basis of best five of H.S subjects as stated earlier.
- Reservation of seats as per the norms of the West Bengal Government. For differently-abled
candidate minimum disability will be considered as per Govt. rule.
- The Candidates who have passed the Vocational Course at 10+2 examination are eligible for
admission to B.A. (General).
- For Honours students one Hons. subject and one Generic subject are to bechosen in
the UG SEM-I.
- Generic Subject for the Honours students should be one of the following other than the
concerned Hons. subject.
English, Bengali, Geography, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Pol. Sc., Economics, Mathematics, Education.
- The subjects Bengali and Sanskrit cannot be chosen together in Hons. and
Programme Courses.
- In respect of calculation of marks, no deduction should be made in case of candidates passing out in previous years.
Seat distribution conforming to Govt. rules.
- Students passing out of Vocational Stream are eligible for only Programme Course.
- For Honours students one Hons. subject and one Generic subject are to bechosen in the UG SEM-I.
- Generic Subject for the Honours students should be one of the following other than the concerned Hons. subject. English, Bengali, Geography, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Pol. Sc., Economics, Mathematics, Education.

Other than the above points, Online Admission process is to be conducted considering the
following modalities as per State Govt. Order No.507- Edn(CS)/10M-95/14 dated 30.06.2022.
- On-line admission process should be done based on merit. Prospective students should not becalled for counseling or verification of documents during the process of admission. No physical presence will be required at the colleges / university.
- No charges shall be taken from the students for (i) scanning / uploading of documents for online admission and (ii) providing / making available the application form / prospectus of admission in all UG/PG level courses like last year.
- Eligible applicants should be informed directly by the college / University authorities through letter or e-mail or telecommunication.
- Payment of fees should be done only through e-payment or designated bank and not physically at the colleges.
- List of eligible applicants should be handed over to the designated bank branches for verification during payment through banks. Banks will receive admission fees on the basis of merit list.
- All testimonials (Admit card & Marksheet of Madhyamik Examination, Marksheet of H.S Examination, Caste Certificate, PH certificate where necessary, Recent Colour Passport Size Photo and Signature) are required to be uploaded online during application.
- Verification of documents, if required, should be done only when the students report for the classes in due course. SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE in original will be required during physical verification of documents. Admission will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the declaration in the forms submitted on-line.
- All Stakeholders shall adhere to the COVID-I 9 norms / protocol, issued by the Government time to time.
